Position Summary:
Working in Avanex's Finance Division, the Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for implementing, developing, communicating, training, and monitoring FP&A processes that are repeatable and scaleable. This is a highly visible role, and the successful candidate is expected to make a huge impact on our systems and processes. As the recognized expert, the Sr. FP&A Manager will work closely with and advise program staff and the executive team on a wide range of financial and operational issues.
Responsibilities:
- Work with FP&A team to better leverage SAP v4.7 functionality in FP&A processes
- Scope out functionality of Business Objects/Crystal Reports and identify potential utilization of that program in work flow
- Work with the finance team to streamline current processes, utilizing system tools to the fullest extent possible
- Implement best practice FP&A processes that are repeatable and scaleable
Qualifications:
- A BA/BS in Finance or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial and strategic planning functions is required - MBA preferred
- 3 years in a management role are required
- Strong technical and financial knowledge, including experience creating complex financial models and efficiently communicating results to inform sound strategic and tactical decisions
- Extensive experience in process improvement initiatives, implementing best-in-class tools, systems, and processes in the FP&A function
- Strong consensus building skills
- Superior SAP knowledge and skills are required
- Business Objects and Crystal Reports knowledge and skill are preferred
